The renewal of the Play Park Equipment started in 2014 and finished in 2018. You can read all about the project here...
Phase II of the Ufford Play Park project is now in full swing. It aims to fill the barked area with a single piece of equipment and perhaps additional seating or picnic benches.
If you would like to get involved in this phase please call the Parish Clerk on 01394 411405
We are delighted to announce that the Ufford Play Park is now open...
During 2014 the Parish Council has been working hard to fundraise for a new Play Park at the Recreation Ground. Please see out progress reports below:
All is set for the grand opening of the new Play Park on Saturday 21st March; we hope to see you all there
The opening date for the new Ufford Play Park has been set to Saturday 21st March. The ribbon will be cut at 9.45am and this will be followed by games and demonstrations. Please come along to support us
Unfortunatley the opening od the new Play Park has been delayed until the Spring of 2015 to allow the grass to grow.
Disappointingly we are unable to open the Play Park at the moment due to a couple of areas still to be complete. However, this is allowing the grass to grow and we hope the park will be open early in 2015.
The installation of the new Play Park is taking shape nicely, if a little slower than we had hoped. We are now planning to hold an opening even on Saturday 13th December to coinside with the Christmas Fayre but all items on hard-standing will be open as soon as they are inspected.
Thursday 18th September saw the start of construction of the new Play Park. This will continue for a number of weeks and safety fencing will be placed around the equipment until the opening ceremony (on 15th November at 11.00am). This will allow the grass to grow and the equipment to be fully tested before it is used
On 1st August the equipment for Phase I was ordered. There is an approximate lead time of 6 weeks for delivery so we hope to start installation by mid September.
Although the old equipment was removed in 2013 there was still fencing, tree roots and old posts to remove. With help from many volunteers we cleard the site ready for the new equipment
