The Suffolk Green Access Strategy was accepted by Suffolk County Council Cabinet in November 2019. The strategy document has recently been redesigned and a new version is now available online at:

The strategy also serves as Suffolk County Council’s Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP), a 10-year plan detailing how the authority will manage the public rights of way network. This is Suffolk’s second ROWIP, the first being published in 2006.

The Green Access Strategy comprises of 3 parts:

  • Part 1 provides the context for access in Suffolk and explains what we mean by ‘green access’.
  • Part 2 provides a review of the first ROWIP with details of actions delivered.
  • Part 3 is a forward-looking delivery plan for green access in Suffolk.
